NATO confident Russian drones flew into Romania “unintentionally”, called it “irresponsible”

1. Sigghhh… you guys have to get in through your heads that nobody is going to start WWIII over minor airspace incursions. It simply is not going to happen.

I now understand after being down voted about a question on article 5 that it won’t invoke it, but the the ‘unintentional’ collateral damage is unacceptable and by just brushing it of like this, the ‘unintentional’ breaches of airspace will occure more and more until it is norm. Things that used to be an outrage are being normalised, and it is a scary prospect.

4. Abs no way Russia would take on NATO now if they retaliated, or eg sent peacekeepers on northern border.

   Russian conventional forces are spent.
   Their AA is spent.
   Their Strategic Nukes no longer work.

   If NATO flexes more muscle Russia will just make the same old noise and pretend outrage. Nothing aside.

5. Unless it’s a full force invasion, NATO will not invoke article 5.
   What I see happening if Ukraine starts loosing drastically, is Poland and possibly the Baltic nations sending in their troops to help Ukraine. The rest of NATO would probably remain quiet if this situation arose.

6. I’m sure they will shake their heads in disappointment, and may even wag their fingers. Take that Russia!

7. These accidents might stop happening if any time they happened NATO countries sends more military equipment to Ukraine or NATO countries bordering russia (in case of NATO countries also sending some troops).

9. The videos that were posted showed a little more than ‘fragments’ – more like a decent sized explosion on the ground. What was this then? Putin is laughing his head off, this response just consolidates his impression of the western powers. That they speak loudly but DO nothing.
