1. I have seen other reports that were only about 50 troops caught in the pocket discussed here, as opposed to the 500 troops reported by the Russians. Surely the russkis wouldn't lie to the world.

25. The Ukrainians are waiting for the US to make the correct decision to give them permission to strike anywhere within Russia. They have ATACMs and JDAMs but they cannot use them freely to destroy troops and materials concentration anywhere within Russia leading to Putin being able to more successfully build and gather troops and materials with relative peace in Russia without fearing ATACMs and JDAM strikes on troops and materials.

    If the US wakes up and gives permissions putting any and every troops concentration, recruitment centers, military depots and materials concentration in Russia at risk, they will have to think thrice again and Ukrainian victory will be more attainable. Russia will not be able to easily concentrate troops and materials and mount offensives with little fear of ATACMs or JDAM strikes within any part of Russia and once you fail to concentrate and gather troops and materials, it will collpase the Russian offensives, give the Ukrainians the chance to counterattack and regain lost territories but too bad, Ukraine is treated like a borderland and a US/NATO bargaining chip with Putin.

    Ukraine would only be allowed to bleed out while locked horns with Putin and not allowed to win and regain territories like Donetsk and Crimea with US/NATO aid. That's how it is as a pawn and bargaining chip.

27. Paul is underestimating the Ukrainian causalities rate. The Russian manpower is staggering compared to the Ukrainians. The Ukrainian soldiers need forgeign training advisers.

28. Russians changed their tactics which is overwhelming fortifications and capturing towns, instead of company sized attacks, Russians are now using battalion size attacks.
