the latter yes obviously, a huge tax break for bars would help them. but the former seems a bit of a stretch.
Selfridges etc would love VAT reclaim to be brought back but how’s that really helping hospitality venues? people affected aren’t counting the pennies and skipping dinner for the cost of a new designer handbag.
