  1. >On Fox News Thursday morning, Donald Trump had a weird instruction for his supporters: they don’t have to vote.

    >“My instruction: We don’t need the votes, I have so many votes,” Trump said on Fox & Friends before going on a rant about how much support he has in Florida.

    > He said something similar in October, too, when he told supporters at a New Hampshire rally, “You don’t have to vote, don’t worry about voting. The voting—we got plenty of votes.”

  2. Because he’s stupid. In his mind, saying he’s so popular he doesn’t need all his supporters to vote for him, is a sign of his power and popularity. There is no logic or strategy beyond that.

  3. Good we all know how they worship Trump. They’d jump off a cliff for him so you know they will follow his every word.

  4. yep he says “we don’t need the votes”, which would be bizarre unless you know he’s always lying. then it translates to “oh shit, we need votes” and makes total sense.

  5. I guess he thinks if the Supreme Court can’t get him in office, another insurrection will. Or vice versa.

  6. He doesn’t want to have to face the realistic numbers when votes are counted. Instead he can claim it was stolen, his base was disenfranchised, etc,. “Look how many votes I had last time. There’s no WAY I only got X votes this time! RIGGED!”

OR we’re gonna be ‘splained that “what he was really saying was…” in the next day or so.

  7. “I’m Kamala Harris, and I endorse this message.”

  8. Because he knows he’s going to lose and the whole plan was to screech “stolen election” as usual.

  9. He is old and senile. He probably doesn’t even remember where the White House is.

  10. He knows he’s gonna lose. His plan is to get the corrupt conservative SC justices to declare him the winner.

  11. Because they’re likely cheating behind the scenes

    Also he’s a dumbass

  12. He’s tired, doesn’t want to do the job. Clearly, he figures it’s easier to grift as a private citizen than to actually be president. Let’s give him his wish.

  13. This could be Trump’s new strategy to usurp the election – Spend the entire campaign trying to convince everyone he’s got so much support that he’s guaranteed to win, and then when he loses he’ll claim it’s proof of a rigged election.

It’s the same shit he pulled with the postal votes last time.

  14. Never interrupt the enemy while they’re making a mistake. Let him continue

  15. As a liberal, I’d be very triggered if Trump supporters didn’t vote.

  16. > He said something similar in October, too, when he told supporters at a New Hampshire rally, “You don’t have to vote, don’t worry about voting. The voting—we got plenty of votes.”

    > At that time, Trump also told his supporters to “get out there and watch those voters!” If he’s using the same words now, it could mean that he wants to encourage voter intimidation at the polls.

I BEG one of these MF’ers to try to stop me from voting. It won’t end well.

  17. I feel like this is a big red flag from the right. These gun-toting crazy assholes wrapped their lives around trump and now a brown skinned WOMAN is making it all but certain he will lose. I feel like there’s nothing to expect other than violence from the side that has already said they won’t concede the election. Do people think this means trump and some people will enter the white house, set up camp, and say “no”? This is a call to violence should trump not win.. and I don’t feel like its mentioned enough. We’re high as hell as dems because our favored representative is killing it. Do not let your guard down. Trump fans LOVE guns and are itching for a chance to justify using them to “save america.”

  18. Mark my words, I think he is foreshadowing another coup attempt or something worse. He’s too far off the deep end

  19. My prediction: If Trump loses, Maga world collapses. Congress on the right will deny they ever said anything good about him. You can only lose so many times before moving on, especially when the other side has clearly already done so.

  20. Votes don’t matter if you don’t plan on acknowledging the outcome of the election and going for another insurrection

  21. He’s clearly saying the quiet part out loud. I can only assume something seriously nefarious is going on and they are manipulating the votes in some way or they are planning to steal the election regardless of the votes.

This guys brain is fucking mush, I’d assume he’s confessing to some kind of crime.

  22. He’s projecting that he’s attempting to rig the election.

  23. Trump has been soooo lucky: the media and his opponents so far are largely by-the-book Ivy League dingbats, getting all the right degrees and checking all the boxes, never doing anything too original.

Because he’s been incredibly lucky – hEr EmAiLs, the Comey letter, and an establishment terrified of prosecuting a president – it’s easy to forget that he’s as bad at running for office as he is at making coherent policy. Beyond crushing his GOP opposition by calling them cruel names and openly embracing racism, he has no game.

He’s not playing 3-dimensional chess. He’s eating the pieces.

  24. He’s punishing the down ballot. This is him flexing on the other GOP, letting them know that they had better go scorched earth for him and help with stealing the election.

  25. I SWEAR TO YOUR FUCKING GOD, if the Dems and POTUS haven’t sat down with all manner of legal experts and discussed plans in back rooms with the military on how to deal with “J6 – Part 2, Dumb Fuck Boogaloo” Im going to be furious.

Biden has nothing to lose at this point, he should OPENLY discuss his plans for preventing another coup attempt and explain in detail how he intends to ensure a fully legal, peaceful transfer of power.

  26. You didn’t fire me, I quit.

Also makes it easier for him to call it a rigged election if his votes drop.

  27. I think the GOP cheated in 2020, there were several states whose voting data showed discrepancies, like Kentucky.

They also took measures to sabotage voting by mail, that DeJoy has continued (no idea how he still has his job). I have had more severely delayed mail or lost mail in the last few months that I have ever had with the USPS. Make sure you vote in person and make sure you have not been purged in the voting rolls.

I think that is why Trump was so adamant that the Democrats cheated, because the GOP cheated and still lost.

They are more organized this time, have key roles at the state level filled with MAGA cultists. They are planning on cheating again and this is a rare moment where Trump is being honest.

  28. Remember when forensic experts from the Georgia IT consulting firm Sullivan Strickler entered Coffee County offices in Georgia and scanned and took copies of the county’s voting software and equipment, including tabulators, ballot marking devices, election management servers and poll pads?
This is why he’s so confident. This actually happened and no one is talking about it.

  29. Lets be clear: Republicans have won the popular vote once since 1992. They have long known that they are a minority. Instead of moderating their policies and broadening their appeal, they decided to triple down on the fundamentalist crazies, and now we have Trump.

They aren’t planning to win this fairly. A much more moderate SCOTUS awarded George W Bush the presidency 5-4 in 2000, creating plenty of precedent for a similar ruling by the stacked conservative 6-3 supermajority Court today.

We need to get out and VOTE for democracy in very high numbers so that its such a decisive Democrat victory that no kangaroo court can repeat what happened in 2000.

  30. He’s gonna try to overthrow the government again regardless of the result.

  31. Its obvious Trump isn’t actually trying to win democratically. He will try to steal the election again regardless of if he gets the votes.

His true intention this time around is to cause chaos and try to cause a riot/insurrection so his flunkies in Congress can pull shifty tactics and try to put him into power. Why else would he want JD Vance as a VP, so he doesnt have to win any elections afterwards,  essentially subverting the voting process all together.

His intention isn’t to win, its to cheat his way into office.

  32. They don’t need to vote. They don’t believe in voting. Their plan is purely to contest the election and just J6 part 2 electric boogaloo. But really they hope to just attempt to push the election to the state governors.

  33. He’s preparing another J6. Whether he wins or whether he loses, there will be violence. Mark my words. I’m absolutely dreading the next 6 months
