  5. Biden came to the debate with a cold or even Covid and dementia Trump is wetting his diapers in fear. He’s simply no match for Harris. He looks like a tiny dog under her. Even if you say they’re postponing for now. Perhaps the Republicans haven’t yet found the right lie that works.

    In the meanwhile, he’ll try to pretend there’s more disorganization with the Democratic Party by proposing Harris might not be the nominee, but she’ll be confirmed without a problem or any in-fighting.

    His team will try to move the goalposts by talking about how she shouldn’t have Biden’s campaign funds, make up illegitimate legal challenges to her candidacy, and try to raise the expectations on her so she’d have to solve world hunger to “win” the debate, but Trump will still debate her whether it’s on Sept 10th or not.

    Yes, he is both dumb, and arrogant, enough to do that.

  12. This is how trump’s team negotiates rule changes for Trump’s benefit. He did this with the CNN debate and got them to remove any fact checking. He is doing it again now.

    “I would be willing to do more than one debate, actually,” Trump said during the call. “I think if you’re the Democratic nominee or Republican nominee, you really have an obligation to debate.”

  24. Wow amazed they put this out. So now the story all weekend is going to be the Obama endorsement, and trump running from the debates. Next week is going to be dominated by the Olympics, and Harris still has the VP selection and the convention. trump is going to have to indulge his worst instinct and say something truly unhinged to get any news coverage. Seems really bad optics and timing on this statement from trump

  32. It’s great that the few Trump stories that are breaking through the Kamala coverage are:

    1. Trump is backing out of the debate
    2. Trump’s VP criticized childless women as cat ladies who have no stake in this country

    This feels very different than the last 8 years.
