  1. I don’t think there’s going to be much sympathy for his pain but whose paying for the lifelong care he’s now going to need?

  2. I assume he’ll only get the “basic plan” for pain medication.

  3. I’m usually pro death penalty stance for clear cut cases like this but this time I find myself content with the fact he was found, resuscitated and survived to be punished.

I’m hoping he’s lost the use of his arms because he’s at risk of attempting suicide again.

I hope he lives for a long time.

  4. The only reason I’m not for the death penalty is because the state should not have that power

  5. Ngl, I know some people probably want him dead – but I could not imagine anything worse than being trapped in my own body.

  6. This guy has created an inescapable living nightmare for himself. I hope the family of the deceased are able to salvage a good life for themselves.

  7. So life in prison and paralysed.

    Seems a fitting punishment.

  8. Good lord, he shot a bolt into his upper body and ended up paralysed, so I guess the bolt got to his spine?

Glad he’s alive so he can have a daily reminder of how pathetic he is.

Hope that mental torture never fades.

  9. Sounds like he tried to off himself, task failed successfully as far I’m concerned. Hopefully he’s fully aware, trapped in his own body for the rest of his years.

  10. To do what he did requires such total lack of foresight, empathy and basic understanding that he could have been called a vegetable before.

  11. Leave him in the woods somewhere. It’s the humane and decent thing to do.

  12. Paralysed for the rest of his life and an unavoidably long prison sentence, huh? He’s young too, that’s a lot of years to have to live with this new disability. Combine this with the fragile and toxic masculinity that compelled him to murder his ex, her sister and her mother, this is going make living with it so much worse for him. Excellent, I wish him a long and miserable life.

  13. Good, something extra for him to deal with on top of his sentence, death would have been an easy way out for this worm.

  14. Good. Now he can spend the rest of his life like that.

  15. I was thinking this could be another Louis de Zoysa. If convicted Clifford will probably get whole life and spend the rest of his miserable existence on the prison healthcare wing.

  16. Nothing will bring back the innocent women he killed.

But if you look hard enough there is some poetic justice in this. This guy was a classic misogynistic, had been in the army so likely embraced the physical and traditionally masculine ideals that encompassed.

He wanted to exert the ultimate control over these women by killing them as punishment for daring to leave a relationship. He then intended to evade justice by killing himself (a classic controlling move, as we also saw recently with abuser Jonathan Creswell).

So desperate and deprived was his need for control over everything… except it backfired spectacularly. He now has no control over his life, and by the sound of things, not even his own body.

Being paralysed for most people would be huge. But for someone whose ego is so damaged they need to exert control over everything and everyone around them, this is a special type of hell. Combined with the rigidity of prison… this is the single worst punishment this guy could have been given.

I hope he has a long life to think about what he has done.

Justice is never perfect. No punishment inflicted on him would be of much comfort. But I think the knowledge that he’s built the trap he’s now ensnared in, is probably the closest we’ll get for this guy.

  17. So much waste of life.

His will be forevermore mired by his own actions. I suspect his quality of life is all but over, and he will spend the rest if his days in a hell of his own making.

  18. I’ve always wondered about the high cost of people convicted (or found unfit to stand trial but some kind of inquest names them), they still need round the clock care and maybe still some deterrant to them absconding a clinical setting.

In Scotland there was a case when a Latvian immigrant with Schizophrenia (it’s not diagnosed/treated well in poor contries) went on a killing rampage when psychotic, was ruled unfit to stand trial and sent to a long term secure mental hospital. All at our expense. In such a case it would make sense to send him back to his homeland, but I can understand the victims families anger, as his home country might not want the financial burden of keeping him locked up and he could be released and escaped justice. And that’s a country we can send people back to, if it’s an African, Middle Eastern/Isamic and a few other dictatorial/opressive countries they won’t get sent back.

  19. Good, now he can suffer for the rest of his life, scum. The taxpayer shouldn’t pay for his care though, if he needs it, his family can dish out the dosh for it.

  20. Hope he still ends up in some sort of jail, or just have him face the wall for 24 hours a day while he serves his sentence.

  21. I don’t give a shit if his wound was self inflicted or the officers beat him to within an inch of his life. This man murdered three terrified women in cold fucking blood while he had them tied up in their own home. I hope his spinal cord is completely severed. Scum like him don’t deserve to fucking move.

  22. I hope he lives a long life and feels every fucking minute of it.

I feel sick when I think about those poor ladies, their last hours on this Earth must have been full of terror and pain and nobody saved them. Agony for the whole family.

Rest in peace you beautiful souls. ❤️❤️

  23. Excellent. Shame he didn’t also blind and deafen himself too.  A self contained body prison would be an appropriate end for someone who killed 3 women just because he was upset about a breakup.

  24. So why did this murderer – don’t want to repeat his name – target these people in the first place?

  25. Trapped in his own feeble body, never able to experience sexual pleasure again, kept in a cell with walls plastered with pictures of his victims.
The sound of women’s laughter piped in at random intervals.
