I wish they’d make a feature phone capable of WhatsApp group chats and voice calls. I’d buy that in a heartbeat. I have a small Nokia dumbphone for backup but I need WhatsApp for work and keeping in touch with friends abroad..
until now with that, i know they deserve it
I still have Nokia phone.
They literally made Windows phones 🤣
Nokia conversations aside, this stupid fucking meme template* needs to die and im legit surprised to see it on this sub.
iPhone was the reason, iPhone just reinvented the cellphone. Android was supposed to be a open source blueberry-like cellphone then it rushed to be an iPhone imitation. Samsung just kept copying the iPhone in every way possible without being sued for plagiarism (and it was sued in some occasions). Nokia just had to do the same, but it put garbage Windows to run on their phones instead. The Lumia cellphone was quite good physically, but that Windows OS was awful and barely had any apps.
Being complacent, in a market full of competitors fighting tooth and nail to get to the top, is doing something wrong
So I should cry for a multi million company that lost everything due to questionable business strategies?
No, I don’t think so
Imagine going for Windows phone instead of Android… you fucked up.
You guys know that Nokia and Ericsson are currently one of the biggest players in the 5G-sector ?
>We Didn’t Do Anything Wrong But Somehow, We Lost
You didn’t do anything. That’s what you did wrong, and that’s why you lost.
Staying still while your competition moves forward is just regression by relativity. The path of safety is the path of stagnation, and while there’s definitely a lot more certainty, that certainty is inevitable failure.
(Though I’d be lying if I didn’t say I kind of want to see the indestructible Finnish smartphone they’d create if they did actually innovate a bit more)
Everyone had a Nokia when I was a kid, it was the best. The move away from Android really was fatal. Still have my 3310!
You did do something wrong, you bet on Symbian and Microsoft instead of Android.
Wasn’t he american?
Nokia is a cautionary tale of how inventing one product will lose you market relevancy very fast

The goat 🐐
They fucked up big time, had market dominance and managed to fuck it up to the point of irrelevancy.
Feeling sorry for a billion dollar company
Yeah it’s very Western European thing
I would love buying a good Nokia smartphone. That I can’t do it means that they did things wrong.
>We don’t do a anything wrong
What? They constantly fucked up and run the biggest mobile phone company into the ground. I can think of quite some things they did wrong.
Yo uso un celular Nokia aquí en México. 📲👍

Didn’t they decide to use the Windows mobile OS?
