  1. I don’t think you’ll find an arcade in Germany. There are some very rare occasions but arcades are not a thing here. Video game arcades were treated like actual gambling machines and ruined by our politicians.

  2. There’s no DR Stardom anywhere on EU soil. I think there were some arcades in the UK *featuring the game* but it’s not really a thing here in general.

    *Edit: clarification*

  3. I’ve been to an arcade near Kiel (Schwentinental) just recently. I can’t remember if they had this specific game though. But that’s really high up north, so it wouldn’t make sense for you anyway if you’re more located in the south of Germany.

  4. Not exactly the same but Gamestate in Oberhausen has a similar one.

Criteria for entry is either be 18+ or go with your guardians.

    Opening hours 12pm – midnight.

    Hope this helps 🙂

    Edit: time
    Thanks all

  5. Germans would loose there shit if they hear or see anything that loud or bright. We are not used to that kind of entertainments. Our entertainments revolve around beeing quite and drinking the pain away. Regards

  6. I dont know where u live but there is a nice arcade called “the box” in the netherlands on the border in a city called Enschede.

  7. There are arcades in Germany, they are not called that though. Due to some political games, arcades were treated as gambling machines, but there still games in ‘museums’ and the criteria is that you don’t pay to play, you pay to enter the ‘museum’ (games are then free to play once inside). Here is one near me:

    https://www.retrogames.info/ausstellung

They rotate their games with other ‘museums’ from time to time, so if you go regularly, you will see new titles.

  8. I never really saw any real arcades since I got here (Leipzig)

There were a few Spielhalle but eventually they shut down or are temporarily closed. They don’t have such fancy games but have some nice games

But nowadays, there’s no search for such things. Since it’s cheaper to just play at home with your friends for free.
It’s more whenever you go out to the bar areas and want to chill a bit with a smaller group

  9. As far as I know, there are exactly zero Dancerush machines in DE 🙁

(If you know differently: please let me know)

  10. there are not many arcades in Germany. and due to them being very restricted back in the 80s they could never become very popular. there are few coming now, in Bremen there’s one. and other cities two. so just check the area around where you a planing to stay.

  11. Where does this exist in the states? This is something I’d expect in Japan. I haven’t seen a modern arcade in the states.

  12. I’d say large Spielotheken and Bowlingcenter are your best chance. Other than that just look up what is close to you that might have it. Arround here there is a laser tag place that has several arcades (not that one though).
Germany is not big on arcades though.

  13. Okay in this thread I read a lot that there are no arcades in Germany, which is not entirely true. The Arcade “scene” is very small since for a long time they where treated as Gambling and were just allowed in “casinos”. But As of now there are several Arcade Halls in Germany, I don’t know which one if any has this game, but there are arcades in general.
