The economic situation in Venezuela is catastrophic. The country is suffering from hyperinflation, widespread unemployment and a drastic decline in oil production, once the backbone of the economy. Millions of Venezuelans have left the country in search of better living conditions.
Official campaigns for the presidency of Venezuela came to an end on Thursday ahead of the Sunday, July 28 elections.
The streets of Caracas and cities around the country were filled with supporters of opposition leader Marina Corina Machado and her coalition’s candidate, Edmundo González Urrutia.
First step….vote maduro out.
This is what you get when a megalomaniac cares more about retaining their power than the well-being of their constituency. It’s a shame.
Trumpism is already in every 3rd world country, let’s please crush it before it destroys our America’s Democratic Republic. Our MAGA SCOTUS has already put the President above the law and it is up to them to decide if something is an “official act” or not. Also again they have just made it legal for themselves and any other government official to take bribes for political purposes. These both need to be reversed ASAP. I hope Joe stays alive until the end of his term to work on this SCOTUS reform he is currently working on and the next president continues to work to reform SCOTUS.
their voting is not rigged. That is straight US propaganda. Jimmy Carter said their elections were legit, and very robust to fraud. The US likes to call any election with a leftist unfair and rigged. It was proven there was zero fraud in the last election.
Venezuela is under economic attack by the US, did you know that their oil is dirty and requires more refining. do you more who owns the refineries, that were purpose built for Venezuela oil? The Kochs.
I’d suggest reading journalist Greg Pallast or academic Alan Macleod on Venezuela.
Looks like there could be a bloodbath if he is re-elected. I hope they say no to authoritarianism.
Do he and Trump corespondent?
Why do these dictator wannabe clowns always wish bloodbaths on their citizens?
Yes. His blood.
