  3. Only tyrant declare a bloodbath if they lose. Perhaps he should lose and those around him can deal with him appropriately before things get out of hand. The sooner the better.

    I live in Colombia and can tell you this is bad way to put this. Maduro has been insanely, deeply unpopular for as long as I can remember. There are hundreds and hundreds of thousands of Venezuelans that have fled the country (including hundreds of thousands here in Colombia and many in the US as well) because Venezuela is so deeply broken but it’s not enough of a democracy to have hope of getting him out.

    I think these comments to make it look like he’s worrying about the election results are only intended to give the elections a look of legitimacy as if they aren’t as rigged as Russian “elections”.
