  3. US missiles shouldn’t be deployed in Germany, they should be deployed in every NATO member which borders Russia.

  4. I’m all for putting Russia in an even tighter corner. But isn’t Germany already under NATO’s nuclear umbrella? And even without the US or NATO hasn’t France been quite clear (and specifically not-clear) that they would strike against anyone hurting vital French interests? And no way the French are going to share a border with Russia, so I would count Germany under that umbrella. The UK might be slightly miffed too.

  7. When has bargaining worked with Russia? Ukraine gave up its nuclear arsenal for a “peace”, and yet Russia invaded. Twice.

    Just keep escalating until they stop.

Russia is literally bombing every square inch of Ukraine soil … meanwhile Germany: “Russia, you better cut it out with all the genocide and mayhem in Ukraine, or US will deploy missiles in this Biatch! … and Who Knows, maybe we will even use them, but not on Russia directly, that’s a no-go, sooo, you know, better watch out!”

    I don’t know if these are the words of Scholz, exactly, but boy, it makes it sound dumb … 3 years into the war 😒

  9. Who is “united media”? This is misleading at best.

    This decision has **already been made**, US mid- to long range missiles, plus newer hypersonic missiles once available in numbers, **WILL** be deployed in Germany in the coming years. The agreement between the US and Germany has **already been signed**.

    There no conditions for Russia to meet to reverse the decision. This **WILL** happen. The agreement is also “Trump proof” according to defence minister Pistorius, although it remains to be seen what that means in reality.

    Most importantly, Germany wants to win time for Europe with this step, until the new European long range missiles that are now in development are ready.
