New to this so have mercy. Just finished data analytics course. Used comments to a post I made in r/standardissuecat. Weird human foods cats eat. Just for practice with Tableau. No full analysis done. [OC]

  1. I made a post in r/standardissuecat about my 4 month old tabby Arlo liking ketchup. I asked others if their cats ate human food that you wouldn’t think a cat would eat. I wasn’t going to do anything with the post at first. I did need some practice with Tableau. I decided to go through the comments and tally up the different foods. Plastic also had quite a few. I used Tableau for the visualization and Google Sheets to make the data table that Tableau referenced for this chart. The original list was far bigger. I combined the foods that had very low counts together because it made the graph difficult to read and way too big to post on Reddit. Again this was just a fun little project to practice with collecting data and practice using Tableau for visualizations.

  2. I would recommend that you sort it so the bars are in descending order. Keep up the good work!

  3. Not for nothing, my cat Stinky was addicted to salad. It was fucking weird. Like, don’t leave it unattended for 3 seconds addicted.

  4. Turn around the header. This is showing “Number of Cats that head human foods.”

Though that statistic does not really say anything.
