In your opinion, is it normal to not allow to rent to people based on what they say online? What’s wrong with saying your opinion about what it’s like to live somewhere? I genuinely think that if you are paying majority of your salary for rent, you should be able to voice your opinions.

DISCLAIMER: I’m actually the guy who created TenantTrust, not trying to self promo, but curious to hear your opinions

  1. Other than being a red flag, how can it be even enforced?

    – Are you on tenant review?
    – No

If he threatens to kick you out after finding out he’s going to have a horrible time trying

  2. Could just be an idiot who had a bad experience with some previous tenants and doesn’t realize what a massive reg flag they’ve just written. I _wouldn’t_ chance that, but I’ve seen it before.

  3. Doesn’t want to be reviewed but will consider lowering rate for those with good reviews from other landlords

  4. How would he know if you used a pseudonym? It’s not a good sign though

  5. ‘I don’t want my tenants reviewing’ is just ridiculous and no-one should take any notice of anything else said after this point. Might as well have said ‘I don’t want my tenants on social media’ or ‘I don’t want my tenants on Tinder’. It’s none of the Landlords business and they whoever they are will find that out for themselves.

  6. He’s really doing God’s work because I didn’t know such websites existed, but I’ll now be making a beeline

  7. If it’s just a room, they could actually *not* be the landlord and instead subletting without permission.

  8. If you’re a decent landlord, why would it matter ??? Obviously, their not a decent landlord !!
