There is no way it rains nearly twice as often as London. Just a guess that the data sources on this map are not consistent.
Downvote for not sharing source of data. Eff off with this bs map.
Even if this map is bullshit, it really rains too much in Belgium.
i wouldn’t say 199 rainy, but certainly cloudy.
It always baffles me we are the worst in every list possible on the internet. Seems kind of sus tbh
There is no way Brussels is rainier than Manchester. Nor is there any way Manchester only has 143 days of precipitation per year.
If I’m not wrong, this used to be around 235 or so days about 15 or 20 years ago.
Should be good news!
Nah. I don’t believe it. They’re mixing definitions of “day of precipitation” instead of comparing apples with apples.
Brussels must be close to Amsterdam. It just doesn’t make sense that it would be so far from neighbouring cities. Just checking the Wikipedia page I see 135 days ([here](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brussels#Climate)) and a report from the Meteorological Institute of Belgium with data from 1991-2020 ([here](https://www.meteo.be/resources/climatology/climateCity/pdf/climate_INS21004_9120_nl.pdf)) says 130 days. I don’t know where the 199 days comes from, but it must follow a different definition to measure precipitation or comes from untrustworthy source.
Another weird thing is that it includes Almeria as a “mayor city”, but not Seville or even Valencia? Nah. Not a great source. I love me a fun map, but this one has too many issues imo.

We finally won something.
i know where im gona retire, tio.
Small reminder that this means ANY precipitation, so even 0.1 mm per day (which you would hardly notice) counts. This number is correct for the period 1981-2010, it has dropped by ten days to 189.8 days for the period of 1991-2020. Damn I know Belgium is rather rainy but I expected the UK to be worse, especially Scotland.
That number is clearly wrong. It must be well over 200 … maybe over 300 even!
Weird how such a small area gets so much more rain than its surrounding countries, you’d think the Gods are trying to tell us something
Maps representing data without citing a source. That’s going to be a no from me dawg
To be honest, my first reaction was to be happy to see that we are indeed more legitimate than the UK when we say belgian weather = rain
Average r/europe bs map
