Russian forces in southern Ukraine appear to be experiencing an increasingly desperate shortage of water. Water rations for all personnel – from soldiers in the trenches to fighter pilots – are now limited to only 1 l (36 oz) per day, as little as 8% of what they need. (a thread)

  1. They’re going to drink their own piss, they’ll be fine.

  2. Go back in time and don’t blow up the damm?! Fify.

  3. That’s still too much for my liking.

When they croak from dehydration and turn into dessicated mummies, I’d feel tad bit happier.

  4. So very likely to have a spread of cholera is the future of russian soldiers. Well that and drunkenness. They’ll move to any alcohol they can loot.

  5. They’re doing worse than they were in Afghanistan.

  6. The constant drumroll of drones against russian transports have brought this about. I love the “**they are dying so quickly that many do not have time to get ill.**”

  7. What part of the front is southern Ukraine. Are they talking about Crimea? Or the left side of Dnipro south of Kherson? Or the southern part of the eastern front?

  8. Cholera from dirty water? Not that I don’t appreciate sick russian soldiers but I’m not sure if I want them to be sick in Ukraine.

Let’s stick to getting them drunk.

  9. Isn’t this how we figured out Japan’s Midway fleet location based on this lack of water?

  10. Doesn’t matter. The thirsty ones are going to die the next day. So this is not a limiting factor.
