  1. > The certificate specifically said that O’Connor’s death was a result of “exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and bronchial asthma together with low grade lower respiratory tract infection,” the outlet said.

  2. COPD is a no fun condition to have and combined with asthma and even mild infection just was a perfect mortal storm. RIP Sinéad.

  3. Damn. My ex has this. IDK how, but he is in remission and still smoking and partying his life away.

I’m going to send this to his adult children, who didn’t see him when he was bedridden for almost a year, gray, and unable to breath. They don’t believe me how close we came to losing him, and now think he never had it at all

If he didn’t have it, he sure fooled scores of Dr and SSI. They should prepare themselves because when he goes back to active issues, he will die.

  4. I’m making a pot noodle while reading these comments while my wife who is now completely bed ridden due to COPD and emphysema refuses to eat anything I make her. She still smokes 30 plus cigarettes a day and is down to just over 5 stone. I have muscular dystrophy and life is tough. She is only 64 and cannot see the sense in stopping smoking!

  5. “The coroner’s office did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for more information on Sunday, July 28,” so we just printed it anyway.

  6. exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and bronchial asthma together with low grade lower respiratory tract infection
