Spain has demonstrated how inept it is at choosing songs for eurovision and we want you to take this song just to beat Spain in Eurovision 2022 and demonstrate how much better this song is than the one we chose.

The song is in Galician which I believe is very similar to Portuguese and would be a great way to represent the culture of the Iberian Peninsula

Here is the song if you haven’t heard it:

  1. It’s a beautiful song and I would totally support having it as a representative of the galaico-portuguese language.

  2. Thanks but we have our own singers and songs to promote and take to the festival.. you guys want to give Galicia to Portugal? Then we can consider it..

Plus North of Portugal doesn’t speak Galician, speaks Portuguese 😉

  3. No part of Portugal speaks Galician. However, one could argue Portuguese and Galician are two dialects of a same language.

  5. Galician and Portuguese come from galaico-portuguese language, they come from same source until the reign of Spain put all of his land speaking castellano, now Spanish.

    nice music.

  6. Though we love our Galician brothers, Portugal is not your consolation prize.

Our selection for this year is already going on, with all songs selected, the rules explicitly state that at least one of the writers has to be Portuguese and I’m honestly not too sure most Portuguese people would be comfortable with the concept of sending a song in Galician to represent Portugal. We just got used to send songs in English and even that took a bit of convincing.

  7. As a Spaniard who loves Tanxugueiras, I think that your request is very unfortunate. Portugal has plenty of talent and they don’t need to pick rejected entries from Spain.
