He hid it in his nose. For safe keeping.
What else does rolling stone even talk about except some 70’s stuff we already know, so relevant. What’s next, an in depth article about Morrisons death, I guess you can milk it forever.
Didn’t everyone?
“I really think of it more as “our” cocaine”.
– Dan
What are friends for
I think he eventually found it.
Apparently Chevy Chase would lay into John’s stash when he found it back stage
Im sure he had no idea how to get more
I don’t care.
BEST MOVIE EVER!
You don’t hide cocaine from an addict for long.
We were a couple of hippies living in Hawaii in 1979-1980 driving a Mr Softee Ice Cream truck for a living and ran into Belushi, his wife, Akroid and Carrie Fisher in the Honolulu airport on a quiet Monday morning in early January 1980. They had been vacationing in Maui and then bumped from their flight back to the mainland. Had a nice little conversation with Akroid and he was saying they had to get back because they had to finish something with their new movie. He was really nice but I didn’t know what movie he meant. Belushi was running around with a transistor radio and camera hanging around his neck chasing an older couple and snapping pictures of them. Akroid shrugged and calmly said “John likes to harass the old people”. The girls were huddled together trying to act like they didn’t know him lol! We still laugh about that chance encounter.
Totally read “hid” as “hit” at first glance.
Fuck.
I bet it was impossible for a famous and wealthy person to find cocaine in the late 70’s and early 80’s.
More proof that thriving as an Autistic person is juuuuuuuuust slightly different for everyone! 😅
I heard Dan talking about John when shooting the Blues Brothers in Chicago.
During a night shoot, John went on a bender and everyone was looking for him in a the neighborhood. They resorted to going door to door. Dan knocked on a door at 6am. The owner answered the door and said you must be looking for your friend, he is sleeping on my couch. Apparently around 2 in the morning he found the door unlocked and ate leftovers and drank a couple beers and fell asleep on the couch.
I loved that movie. I also remember Johns funeral with Dan riding a Harley in the procession, so sad a waste of talent
Hid it from who? Not the audience.
