  1. Wow! There should be absolutely zero guilt for being lucky and then smart to manage that luck.

Norway did not plunder other people land like most of Europe did or killed native population to get rich. Those who did it on contrary are guilt free and teaching others on what others should be guilty about.

  2. Norway has beautiful nature, oil reserves, hydro energy reserves, jackpot. Nothing to feel guilty about.

  3. They’ve played the game fairly and won

There are dozens of other countries that have had resources available and instead of using them for the long term benefit, they squandered and mismanaged them.

Other countries have played the game unfairly by using force to acquire wealth.

So think Norwegians have way more reasons to be proud of than guilty.

It’s a weird article and narrative coming from the BBC. The brits have a richer history “unfair acts” that they should feel guilty about, why would they use Norway as a target instead?

You can write an article like this about literally any country in the OECD. Without statistics or any sort of data, the statement “some feel guilty” is virtually true everywhere.

So it seems like a targeted hit when you decide to make it into a narrative about a specific country.

    Why? what for?
