They’ll just never stop trying to do something that is beyond their devolved powers will they? mandate this, mandate that, etc.
This should hopefully reinforce Labour’s unionist credentials to the people they need votes from in Scotland, which, like in 2017, are mainly unionist voters. I’d be voting Scottish Labour if I lived up there no questions asked anyways but this is good.
With the collapse of the Scottish Tories they’re all there for Scottish Labour to gobble up and style a recovery akin to the Tory comeback of 2017.
The SNP and Greens formed a government with an independence referendum as part of their platform. It is appropriate – in fact they should feel obligated – to spend public money on a plan for this because it’s something the public has voted for.
Labour have only one MP in Scotland and 22 MSPs. They have been soundly rejected by the Scottish electorate and have no business trying to dictate what the Scottish people want their money spent on.
I would like a more in depth analysis on what an independent Scotland would look like, so as to make an informed decision when the time for a second vote comes, which is what this prospectus is. It is what I voted for.
Why do you as a Welshman want to take that information away from me?
