Rip, I’ve never heard of you before this but rest in peace
I’ve always found aspects of his life in the royal family fascinating.
Being Diana’s brother in law and the queen’s private secretary during the peak of the marital difficulty/divorce years must have been a crazy line to walk.
I’ve also always found it interesting that he married Jane when she was 21 and he was 36 and while i cant comment on their happiness they did remain married for the duration. I kinda wonder did that normalise the Diana/Charles age gap for them.
The older sisters, Sarah and Jane, seem to have had better marital situations/luck than the younger two children, Diana and Charles. I suppose the younger two were more whipped about in the domestic disputes of their parents’ divorce. Rest in peace, Sir.
