Hi all
ny employment contract states only:
„The standard working hours shall be from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from Monday through Friday, with such breaks as are provided by law.”

That’s it. There is nothing more.

I just wanted to check:
1) is that even legal? As The number of working hours per day is in principle limited to 8 hours.
2) What breaks I am actually entitled to? I cannot find any specific breaks prescribed by the lawman

  1. 8h to 17h includes your break.

    8-12: 4

    13-17: 4

  2. I think the law requires one paid/unpaid break for those working more than 6h per day. Also, working hours are not worked hours. Unless specified otherwise, I think you’re simply required to work 8 hours within those hours, I.e., with one hour lunch break. Depending on the flexibility of the workplace, you may ask to take a 30 mins break and leave at 4:30 or start at 8:30, but depending on the workplace this may not always be possible/allowed.
