  1. Also seen them do it with cans of coke…they even had an empty can behind the counter to scan because 6 six pack can didn’t have a barcode

  2. Look at the date on it can’t be sold next Christmas. What do you want them to do with a load of left over selection boxes.
Just throw them out so they don’t hurt your feelings or wait and sell poor quality goods next Christmas?

Also selling them 3 for €1 isn’t selling them individually. FFS

  3. You must be fun at sessions…

Wait till ya find out about off licences selling cans seperately youll flip your lid

  4. Bit different than your story but shops do this for sugar free redbull. Seperating a multi pack and selling them, so then there is no bar code to scan as there is a big fucking label saying “multipack not for individual sale” so they then get a normal can of redbull which is dearer than the sugar free and scan it & charge me that price. I have lit on them for this on more than one occasion but no joy they dont back down. Incase you dont get it from my reply i find this infuriating 😂

  5. I’ve no idea why you’re getting so much abuse in the comments but I agree, it’s a sign of shitty business practices (though I doubt illegal at all). you could probably report the shop to spar head offices, as it’s likely a case of a standalone franchise owner breaking with company policy, and hurts their brand as a result.

  6. It’s the manufacturers you should turn your attention to. If they can sell stuff for a fraction of the price in multipacks then why do consumers need to pay way over the odds for individual items .

  7. Eurospar aren’t the only ones to do this. Back when I worked retail sometimes management would have us make like goodie bags of loose stuff from “damaged” multipacks. For example if we had some crisps and some cans we’d put two packets of crisps and a can of like coke into one of the plastic bags from fruit and veg. Sell em for a fixed price. Pretty sure they did away with it eventually. Not sure why.

  8. There’s a little corner shop where I live that does this all the time. Literally everything in the shop is multipack ‘do not sell individually’ products. Neck like a jockeys bollox.

  9. Its not illegal but also I’ve seen a lot of places do this.

Used to do it in a shop I worked in. We wouldn’t sell them individually, they’re 3 for €1. That’s not individually!

  10. So you essentially get cheaper chocolate, and food doesn’t go to landfill?

The only person being screwed here is Cadbury and I really don’t care.

  11. The bastards, trying to make money by opening unsold Selection boxes.

The sooner this revolution that a few people keep posting about comes, the better
