Putin’s chances of ‘significant gains eroded’ by oil depot strikes | Sean Bell

“If we get to the end of summer and Russia hasn’t made a significant breakthrough … I think we’ll be in a far better situation to see Ukraine have another surge on the battlefields.”

Ukraine is “eroding Russia’s opportunity to make significant gains” by targeting oil depots and logistic nodes, says military analyst Sean Bell.

  1. Ukraine is hitting refineries not the actual crude oil. This is not affecting the oil prices. It's just costing Russia. It is awesome. Slava Ukraine.

  2. I know what China is doing and fully understand their purposes. I also know the spoken and unspoken agreements we have with China. I have been able to use the fact that Chinese people are brainy people and think ahead. I wasn't born yesterday and I know people. As long as China remains within acceptable degrees of behaviour…they have no problems with the West.

  3. I find it difficult to understand why so many people in the west fail to see the importance of this war in Ukraine.
People often say "its not our war" and i tell them "it will be if we dont help Ukraine" but im often met with ridicule obviously.
Same when i mention the US elections, with fascism in the GOP.
People often say "its not so bad." or "Trump doesnt mean it".
And im like "have you already forgotten he didnt want to admit a defeat?"
We need a free Ukraine, we need a democratic US, we need to work together to standup against Russia, China, Iran, North Korea if we value our freedom.
I rather live poorly knowing we are free. We are not poor, im just making an example to show how much i care.

The leaders, of the countries i named, hate personal freedom and democracy.

  4. Ukraine is hitting Russian refineries at a time when the Chinese production machine is running on idle due to their economic woes, so the global demand for fuel is much lower. This is holding fuel prices stable for now.
The recent increased policing of secondary sanctions is also lowering global demand for Russian oil on top of limited storage and refining capacity. This means Russia may have to cap some of its wells, and thats bad for them.

  5. Boy this guy has changed he's tune. H talks UKRAINE down at every opportunity. The worst so called analyst. No wonder SKY doesn't use him.According to him a year ago Ukraine was going to go to the table and talk with Putin.

  6. How do we get from talking about supporting Ukraine, to meaningfully doing it? What will it take for the western leaders to stop being afraid? Do we need different leaders who understand that we are up against a tyrannical regime bent on destroying the west no matter how long and what it takes.

  7. It is sad when Alberta Canada has the 3 rd largest oil reserve, and most the countries buy it from Russia and Soudy Arabia

  8. Good to see Sean Bell on Times Radio. Excellent briefing on the state of play in Ukraine. His Red Matrix YT podcast is also worth a watch/listen.

  9. Too bad Russia is among the marginalised. No Olympics, no world championships, no music festivals, viewed as a pariah everywhere because there is a leader in power pushing the country into the abyss. God will punish this criminal.

  10. Ukraine needs really big drones.

I think the British mosquito is a good model. Super fast, flies low, and made of wood that makes it hard to see on radar.

And the key: it can carry a lot of weight.

It doesn’t have to be an exact copy. But it is certainly within the Ukrainian manufacturing prowess to produce a drone version of it.

A hard hitting warbird that can go after the Russian manufacturing base.

  11. If only the Europeans would stop buying Russian LNG too, then Putin would find it very difficult to pay for the war he started.

  12. Also Ukraine soldiers are hearing about the corruption in Ukraine government and this is partly due to not getting proper equipment.

  13. Meanwhile, Russia doesn’t even exist in the Olympics. I’m sure Russian athletes are not happy with Puke-in.

  14. This is just happy talk. Russia has completely circumvented oil sanctions and the price cap with it's own fleet and it's own insurance. The oil is still going to India where it is refined and sold on to western countries without sanctions. The US has never given Ukraine what it needs to win this war and Russia can easily go another 5 years with it's current war economy, existing equipment plus what it can produce using it's own plants plus tech from China, Iran, and North Korea. Meanwhile Biden is telling them not to bomb Russian refineries which are literally funding this war.. The US is completely un-serious. It's all theater.. Ukraine is going to lose this war of attrition as the US intended all along. Believe me I want Ukraine to win but you people need to understand that what you are hearing from guys like this is just propaganda.

  15. The really clever bit is that as Russia’s ability to sell high margins refined oil products is diminished it is forced to sell more crude to make up the financial difference the more supply of Russian crude, the lower the price.

  16. Why are there so many neocons that refuse to see that Ukraine has lost and that there is nothing to be gained by continuing the war.

  17. "Just kick in the door and the whole rotten structure will come crashing down!"
(Vladimir Putler, 2022, before the invasion of Ukraine, probably)

  18. Setting aside what your position on climate change is, we need to move away from oil just to reduce our dependence on these deeply unpleasant places which do not like us.

  19. Yet again we are being gaslight,Russia isn't gonna lose this war and Europe and britain will be broken ,just what the WEF EU want to bring about their agenda 20/30.
