A month before September 11,2001 I was in Bratislava and got robbed of everything and a man from the embassy gave me this shirt. Could yall please translate? I’m American but evidently don’t look like it and that’s why people were nice to me. I loved your country.

I’m not good at Reddit.
About 25 years ago I was in Bratislava and was robbed of my backpack, including my passport and clothing.
A man at the embassy gave me this shirt. It was a month before 9/11 when the twin towers in new York were destroyed.
Could yall please translate?
I loved Bratislava. But I was robbed a lot. I wish i had the contact information of people I met along the way. Like o said, I was robbed of everything. But I wore this shirt home.
Thanks so much. I hope you have a great week.

That looks more like Latin than Slovak.

This is the back of the shirt. It’s from 2001 or before because I didn’t have any clothes and the man at the embassy felt sorry for me.
His name was Louis Delair. He was a black man from New Orleans, Louisiana. I hadn’t seen a black person for about a month since I got there. He was so kind to me.
Does anyone know a black American man named Louis Delair from Louisiana? I’d love to tell him I made it home. I was so broke and then 9/11 happened, I never got to thank him. He treated me like a daughter. What a good man. This was probably July 2001.
