He makes a lot of sense then he jumps headfirst into a big pile of shit & when he’s called out he goes back to listing off things he said just moments ago. When the host asks him what *his* salary is he says 1,000 quid a week, and goes back to listing off the same things *again*
If he lived in reality he’d well know that no amount of shopping around beats inflation. Most people are already scraping by due to an actual global pandemic. If TDs were made live on minimum wage, you’d see things change quickly.
Easy for him to say (27k in expenses last year)
I really wished she asked him how much a pint of milk and a loaf of bread is.
He says he gets €1k net a week but his td salary and minister of state salary add up to €140k gross a year. So he is saying 62% of his wages go in taxes? He is full of it…
Do these people not think that anyone who’s tight or struggling is already shopping around? Oh yeah, great idea maybe I’ll try switching from M&S to supervalu – as if I don’t already have a mental record of price differences between Aldi and Lidl and pretty much never use anything else unless necessary.
