This doesn’t make any sense from an economic point of view. It’s been less than a week since the government’s ban on new visas for TCNs willing to work in the taxi industry and suddenly prices go up? The demand remained the same but the supply mysteriously went down? Who are they kidding? Unless they employ dozens of new drivers every day to keep the supply up and prices low, this doesn’t add up at all. I think such dirty tactics should be punished. Not necessarily by the government but by its customers. It’s obvious that all of this is to intimidate and put pressure upon the government.
