2. I fully expect it to be 70 by the time I retire. My parents both retired at 60

   Edit: both parents were teachers, they got to retire 10 years ago at 60. I am also a teacher, currently I will do the same at 67

6. I would force ex PMs to only grab their own pensions at the current pension age that the government sets for its citizens.

Without all these “military age” migrants paying into the National Insurance pot there wont be any money for state pensions. And there is no fukken way any of that very special demographic have a handsome private pension with wot to retire on comfortably at 60!

15. I can’t see myself lasting till 65 for retirement mevermind 80..I can’t afford to buy a house despite taking combined income of 75k..I feel stressed and anxious everyday ..I’m working 70 hours a week and the industry I’d getting harder ..I just feel wiped out and no hope to have a normal life

    Everyone knew truss was unfit to be an mp let alone leader. Her ideas tended to be “here’s a problem, here’s a plucked out of thin air extreme solution to solve it”…possibly works well on radio or in the Mail as a columnist, but not so much in the real world

23. Liz is a Chartered Management Accountant. CIMA her governing body did a big thing about having a PM who was CIMA qualified, although obviously that didn’t last long.

    Crashing the economy in around 2 weeks isn’t a good look for someone supposedly financially minded.

28. Apart from directors, basically everyone over 60 in my office is so technologically inept that we’d be so much more productive if they weren’t there.

29. I mean if that’s what she wants she should really lead by example, and try to work in a key worker role until she’s 80.

32. My dad is nearing 80. He probably wouldn’t have made it to 70 due to the stress of the office environment he was in.

    Liz Truss is just a rich bitch who already has wealth enough to not have to work the rest of her life if she wants. Pension age is meaningless to her. She will never face any consequences of austerity or attacks on the public sector.
