Many years ago (2010 or 2011?) I attended an industry seminar.
There was a lecturer from Volvo who said that (at that time) they already stopped (or were going to stop) selling urban buses which were not hybrid because it was a no-brainer buying hybrid since the difference in cost would be recouped in a short time.
I think that if you add a column with average age of the bus fleet you will find a significant correlation.
Does that include trolleybuses?
It’s the registration year 2020, not the exisiting fleet.
Kind of surprised by Norway’s amount of diesel buses.
# Zero emissions* public busses!
*zero emissions to operate**, still mucho emissions to build, ship and maintain
**depending on how the electricity to operate them was produced***
***depending on the time of year
^(Imagine every other row is written with an increasingly smaller font.)
Does anyone have total amount of all 0 emission busses ?
I don’t think the data is correct. There are many hybrid buses in Denmark.
Seems bit unfair for biogas powered buses
This graph treats biofuels the same as normal gas, but probably shouldn’t.

Those are figures only for buses bought in 2020.
