So I have been studying in Finland and opened an OP bank account there. Now I’m on summer holidays out of the country, and the mobile app doesn’t seem to work? Has anyone encountered this problem? I tried VPN and that didn’t work. It’s basically infinitely loading and when it does I can’t press log in etc. What weird is, once in these 2 weeks it loaded in immediately but all the other times it’s been like this. It can’t be my internet connection either.

i also had some problems today with logging in, but worked after disconnecting VPN. or just might be some maintenance going on.
have you tried signing in through browser or computer instead of the app? or disable any custom DNS settings from phone

I definitely think that BANK would not lock you out of your account, either server issues, maintenance, or other connectivity issues.
Also, you said you connected once, meaning it is definitely nothing to do with being outside of Finland.
All that I can think of is when i was studying, I remember university’s wifi being restricted in a way that it would not log on authorization services of mobile games, though insta, everything else worked fine.
Either you have some networking problems or OP has some server problems. The app works around the globe. If it was disabled abroad, they would have some error message telling you that.

I can only access my US accounts with VPN after my sister who still lives there approves verifications on her phone, since I don’t have a US phone number anymore. My dad is still attached to my S-bank since I was living abroad when I started it (and I’m under his car insurance). Thankfully I have trustworthy amazing international family….
