Eight Men Charged With Sexual Offending Against A Child
Thursday 1 August 2024
Eight men have been charged in connection with child sexual exploitation in Calderdale.
The men have been charged with a variety of sexual offences following an investigation into non-recent child sexual exploitation.
The allegations against the defendants are from 2006 to 2009 against one female victim, who was aged between 12 and 15-years-old at the time of the alleged offences.
The men will appear at Bradford Magistrates Court on 2 August 2024.
Those charged are:
Mohammed Adnan, 42, of Halifax is charged with one count of rape and two counts of sexual assault.
Shebhan Mohammed Ahmed, 41 of Halifax is charged with two counts of rape
Amazar Ali, 52, of Huddersfield is charged with two counts of sexual activity with a child
Naveed Anjum, 48, of Halifax is charged with one count of sexual activity with a child
Imran Hussain, 48, of Halifax is charged with attempt rape
Khalid Kamran, 33, of Leeds is charged with one count of rape
Mohammed Faheem Mahmood, 39, of Halifax is charged with one count of rape
Adal Manaf, 46, of Halifax is charged with one count of rape

if every time someone from an ethnic group commits a crime it makes the news then it will seem they offend at a higher rate than they do. White British men are as likely to sexually abuse children as anyone else but they don’t make the news every time
I would like to point out a couple of things.
1. It’s almost universal in these cases that the girls ended up being passed around and often forced into prostitution, meaning there are like far more “south asian” perpetrators than the ring leaders.
2. The number of victims should be the main measure. If group A has 10 men who each abuse 2 girls and group B is 10 times smaller and has one man who abuses 20 girls, there are percentage wise the same number of abusers, but one group is creating victims at 10 times the rate of the other.
