US suspends €88m in aid to Georgia over ‘foreign agents’ law

    >“Regrettably, Georgia’s EU accession process is stopped for now — this has been decided by EU leaders during the last European Council,” Herczyński continued.

    >He added that the EU had frozen €30 million that had been allocated to support Georgia’s defence sector, and that further sanctions would be discussed later in the year once parliamentary elections due in Georgia in October had been held.

  5. Oh I’m sure Kremlin will be more than happy to give them an 88 million euro compensation.

    After all, Putinst Russia is so rich and prosperous right now. Lots of Russian trolls told me that.

  6. While perfectly understandable, this is really infuriating – suspending Western aid, disrupting EU negotiations, etc.

    It does not affect the Russian puppet government, in fact it’s all the Georgia’s pupper government could’ve asked for – the implanted puppets have literally one task from their Moscow handlers, preventing Georgia from integrating closer with the West.

    And all Russia needs to do to keep this up is a solid disinfo campaign every few years to scare the shit out of clueless rural and older people and it will be enough to drive a country into the ground with a helping hand of just several local corrupt assholes. These governments never resign in face of mass protests, you need at least a general country-wide strike to have a chance – and then they bitch about western agents and coups…

    Same pattern in so many countries in all parts of the world and it works again and again and again.

    Countering this level of sophisticated social network targeting mindwipe with a current level of education is like inhaling mercury vapors and trying to compensate with vitamins.
