Add in a number more firsts that are officially classed as [GB](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Boland_(Irish_nationalist_politician), and you can double our historic tally of medals had we an officially recognised National Olympic Committee before independence.
You’d have to wonder where their Olympic medals are.
