Sandwood Bay. One of the most amazing beaches you’ll ever see. No parking anywhere near it and a 4 mile hike which dissuades a lot of people from visiting (meaning you have the place to yourself a lot of the time), there’s the remains of a Spitfire that can occasionally be seen under the sand, a supposedly haunted croft nearby if you believe in that kind of thing, good surfing conditions, and views all the way up to the lighthouse at Cape Wrath, which is spooky when the mist descends at night. One of my favourite places on Earth.
Scotland. The best part of Scotland is Scotland. Do you like glorious white Sandy beaches with turquoise seas? Tick. Snow capped mountains? Tick. Vibrant, multicultural cities? Tick. Quaint little villages? Tick. We could be here for years trying to debate the best of the best so let’s save ourselves some time and agree that Scotland is the best part of Scotland.
Wallace Street Flats
Hogwarts surely
Has to be the north west of Scotland somewhere. Could be anywhere in that area, 90% of it is absolutely stunning.
Or Cumbernauld
Maybe it should be the D2 dice that American tourists use to plan their trip?
WTF is Overton bridge?
Inverpolly and the surrounding hills. Stac Pollaidh, Suilven, Cul Mor, Cul Beag, Ben Mor Coigeach etc. Fantastic bothies, climbing and beaches. Knockan Crag with it’s amazing geology. Love that area.
West Highland Line. That entire journey is absolutely captivating.
I also really loved Harris (though don’t tell my Leòdhasach partner) for the giant rock formations, completely otherworldly landscape.
Achmelvich Beach.
Ben Lomond or Ben Nevis thr views are absolutely stunning especially on a clear day

I think we all have a little expression of joy when we cross the border from England.
Likely just as we’re nearing home but, you know we won’t agree on anywhere else.
Harris. For the beaches.
