  3. I love the implication here that the switch from Biden to Harris has not only reenergized the Democratic Party, but it’s given Jimmy Carter a reason to live to see his 100th birthday.

    I honestly think he might not have made it if Biden had stayed in the race.

  14. Good. So long as he’s not suffering I wanna see Carter make it to 100. If anyone has earned it it’s him. I sent him a postcard in hospice last month just to say thanks for being a great example to the US of what a selfless civil service looks like and I actually received a letter back. It is probably one they send to everyone but it mattered to me, ya know?

  15. I’m listening to his biography (His Very Best) and man, he has a remarkable story. Even though he was born in the 1920s, he grew up in a house more suited for the 1880s. He would have prevented climate change from being where it is if America didn’t fall for electing a celebrity whose policies are responsible for much of the bad stuff happening today.

  27. The Peanut man was my first Democratic Pres. He sure was a happy man. Super humble. President O’bama and Carter are my 2 favorite Presidents since est. here on the sweltering planet. Thats what I get for letting the squirrel fly vs the hamsters. Ugh.

  37. Jimmy Carter spent his post-Presidency building houses for poor people. Not just writing a check, but putting on gloves and safety glasses and actually driving nails. Carter has done more physical labor in one afternoon than Trump has in his entire life.
