Would be cool if there was a way to reel the optic fiber back in after the end of it is blown off. Makes the whole endeavor way cheaper.

I think autonomy is a better strategy. There are very good reasons why fiber was abandoned when tried before.

Seems the usage of optic fiber’s pickingup

The farther it goes the more it weight it loses. The less weight it ways the farther it can go. The farther it goes the farther it can get.
It actually unspools a cable? That seems fragile.
I wonder if it would be possible to use lasers to tight-beam signals. You can’t block that either, AFAIK.
