2. Honestly I think this is more political signaling towards Trump in case he wins in November. It's Zelensky saying "Look! We're trying for peace like you wanted, but Russia are the ones holding out!". Fortunately it's looking increasingly likely that he won't have to deal with Trump, but it's smart fo him to lay the ground work to at least TRY and get Trump on-side JUST IN CASE he somehow does. If Harris wins and the Democrats control the house and senate, expect this idea to fall by the wayside as US aid increases.

12. Land isnt the issue. Ukraine will never get back the land that Russia currently occupies. Thats gone.

    The issue is Ukraine agreeing de-militarize and never joining NATO.

    And thats not really a negotiation thats just Ukraine finally agreeing to the terms Russia has always made.
