Kalvin Phillips vs Chelsea

  1. Could we genuinely see a remarkable u-turn for Kalvin? He was very solid against Barcelona at centerback. A position he hasn’t played in before and if his performance against Barcelona is anything to go off on, he’d make an excellent rotation option at centerback. Especially with his long passing ability to pick out doku and savio on the wings with their speed. I’m personally open to seeing Kalvin back at manchester city and playing him at centerback.

  3. He played really well especially defensively and had some nice long balls. It would be interesting to see if he gets a run at CB at all in the season

  4. Aaand he finally fits the system 🤩thrilled to see him next season

  5. Honestly respect towards Phillips for being so professional hopefully he could turn things around, We’d really struggle if we don’t find a natural replacement.

  6. I guess as an emergency option it can’t hurt but with Stones, Dias, Akanji and Ake/Gvardiol we will probably always have two of those guys available

  7. I really hope he bounces back, he’s also a really nice guy!

  8. Eurgh. I’m not letting one compilation sway me. This guy needs to go.

  9. Hopefully he can play CB stepping in to Mid like Stones and Akanji do, at least in league cup games and other rotational games.

  10. He looked terrible in the midfield in the AC Milan game. Guess he’ll primarily be a defender this year.
