Putin’s ‘unacceptable’ casualties could lead to ‘social revolt’ in Russia | Maj Gen Chip Chapman

“The Russian economy might also be beginning to overheat.”

The “burn rate” of Russian troops has forced Putin to change the eligibility criteria for soldiers in Russia, leading to increasing unrest, says Maj Gen Chip Chapman.

  1. Times Radio – your title for this interview is misleading, you barely touched on the subject matter that discussed this, in fact, it lasted less than 30 seconds – can In please ask that you do not use "clickbait" headlines but use ones that are sensibly accurate. As usual, Clive gives a good interview and good appraisal. Lastly – love the fact you started with the presenter instead of a snippet – far better way to start these.

  2. Yes, if Russia was experiencing 'unacceptable' casualties then there might well be a risk of 'social revolt'. The fact is, though, that Russia is categorically, calculably, and provably NOT experiencing unacceptable casualties, so the risk of social revolt is more unlikely than it is in the country I and Chip Chapman live in – Britain. Ukraine, on the other hand, is indeed suffering from unacceptable casualties, and have for a long time. But neither Chapman, nor the degenerates at Times Radio, will ever talk about that.

  3. It's a bit naive of this guy to say that "Sinwar is in deep cover and wouldn't know about Hinayeh's death", seriously, it's elitist arrogance to think that the Hamas leadership would be that incapable of effective communication at a top tier level.

  4. "Social effects"… have started. Shelves are starting to empty in supermarkets… not because of a lack of products… but because there isn't enough manpower to fill them. Petrol prices are through the roof, as are grocery prices.

  5. Congrats to TR's James Hansen – one of the two real journalists on staff along with Kate Gerbeau being the other one. All the rest are liberal biased political shills unable to present an honest news program.

  6. LOL. Do you guys think that if you say stuff enough times it will come true? Much as I'd love it to be otherwise, Russia aint losing, the Russian population aint revolting and it doesnt matter how many of your "experts" say the opposite.

  7. F16,s will be destroyed, like the Ukraine air defences. This guy Chip is talking a lot of nonsense, needs to do some research, stop talking to the Ministry of defence.Who does he think will fly theses F16, takes years to train a pilot. The russian troop loss is 1/10 of the Ukraine loss, and they are mobilising up to million soldiers, Putin says doesnt need any more. The economy is strong 5,0 % GDP and inflation 4%,with a stable ruble.

  8. Io conosco bene il GRANDE POPOLO RUSSO. Tutti conosciamo bene il PATRIOTTISMO DEL POPOLO RUSSO. UN RUSSO VERO NON TRADIRÀ MAI LA MADRE RUSSIA. Quelli che tradiscono non hanno sangue RUSSO.

  10. Social revolt in Russia is not going to happen any time soon.
Putin controls the media and the message.
Putin recruits from regions well outside of Moscow and St-P – so the dreadful reality of the front does not get back to the core populace.

  11. Just to let everyone know: I got a reply from someone to the comment I posted here, and four times I responded to their response. Each time, when I went back to look for it, my response had been removed. That is what utter cheating frauds people around here are – Chip Chapman, Times Radio, Google You Tube, and all the sycophantic sheeple who bleat their agreements with them.

  12. Ukraine said themselves they will keep them back 40km from the front in mostly air defence role . But they have the missiles to do other missions from air to sea anti air with harm missiles air to air and other mission types . Ukraine doesn’t have a lot of jets so will wait and keep them back .

  13. These Brits talking about far away place, while the gov’t wants to lock down cities in England for folks having enough of BS.
Better worry about your own country.

  14. Greeks are gonging to give 32 F16s, When?? 2026?? They only got 6 pilots trained. These two clowns are just making up numbers, why have 10 million Ukrainians left the country & more are trying to get the Heck outta Ukraine. 800,000 Ukrainian men escaped Ukraine & more are risking life to Escape land called Ukraine.

  15. Putin is living in a cold war era mindset and has done the Ukraine and the Russian people a huge disservice. He is a terrible leader and person. I commend all the Russians who have voiced objections to ‘his’ war and I am hoping for peace soon.

  16. Putin is a very strong believer in diversity equity and inclusion. He has ensured that the ethnic minorities of the Russian Federation have been given the every opportunity to die 💀 in Ukraine while Muscovites sit safe and warm at home 😂😂😂😂😂

  17. Russians won't revolt. They prefer being an enslaved people. Russian Empire, Soviet Union, the Putin-era.
They lack the moral courage to do so.

  18. Russians, and revolt?
Is it legal to say "revolting Russians" without some overly sensitive PC soul whimpering?
Whimpering sans thought; reflex PC at its worst. Anyway, not all Russians are revolting.

  19. This guy lost any credibility when he suggested Trump could back Ukraine in the war, it's not even a possibility

  20. Times radio had been putting out the same headlines for years now. Are they about to lose now? I thought they're about to lose a year in a half ago. I want them to lose but at this point it's almost impossible to take times radio seriously. I'm starting to think they're just telling people what they want to hear.
