Ukraine is currently working on acquiring long-range missiles for its F-16s, according to Deputy Yehor Chernev. These missiles are likely the 370 km JASSM, the 900 km JASSM-ER, and the JASSM-XR or AGM-158B-2 with a range of up to 1900 km.

1. Are those numbers from the engineers or the politicians?

2. Wouldn’t it be smarter to stay silent and give russians false sense of security and just let later appearance of cotton in unusual places inform about new long range missiles?

3. I doubt they recieve them. There are worries about one failing to self destruct if evaded or malfunctioning, and Russia/ Communist China then being able to reverse engineer one. Likewise, the F-16’s they are recieving are not equipped with the latest and greatest electronics, etc.

5. I’m sure Ukraine is asking for them but i doubt they will get anything outside of the “short”-range one anytime soon.
