As long as they don’t affect donations to the Tory party I assume.
I wonder if that will include ministers stopping acceptance of Russian oligarch cash…? Doubt it.
Do not forget the ukranian oligarchy. Same mould, same culture, same history, same same all the way! Mafia without border. Ganz klar herr komissar.
Sorry, but this foreign policy is just so stupid.
The history of sanctions shows that they are ineffective even against tiny countries like Cuba and North Korea. And Russia is the largest country in the world with the most natural resources.
All this will do is cause the population to rally around the regime, so they become even stronger. And they are already completely formidable, with successful interference in Western democracy and supersonic technology in what was widely reported as a new “Sputnik moment” for America. This comes at a time when America is at a nadir given the damage that Trump did to its reputation and the political instability caused.
The best course is for us to try to improve relations; not act like we’re hard men when we have nothing to back it up.
maybe stop taking money from oligarchs and making them peers … would be a start
What happened to the report on Russia interference in elections? Just asking.
