  9. I get that she’s probably not *actually* comparing it to every song ever written. She’s probably just making a point about a song that was sort of popular when it came out and didn’t really get the critical analysis it has long deserved. But since she called it the“worst song ever written,” I would like to know if she’s really never heard anything Ted Nugent has written?

  11. John did everything right. One of the best blues guitarists of our generation who never would have gotten famous playing the blues, writes some cheesy songs, blows up, and gets to play blues and jam whenever he wants.

    Daughters is a good tune, nobody would be hating on it unless they’re doing it for clout.

  24. Mayer makes music that makes me go “eww”. He is good … but I can’t stand his attitude, emotion, and definitely lyrics. Yes I’ve seen him live. Yes I’ve learned his songs. It’s the way his emotion comes out of his work … it has always made me immediately cringe.

  36. Songs like Daughters led to his massive commercial success, which allowed him the creative freedom to showcase more of his guitar playing, which has led to him sharing the stage with some of the most iconic and legendary musicians of the the past 60 years. I think he’ll be ok.
