  11. This is a nothingburger; this case was brought by the Missouri AG, who obviously didn’t have standing.

  12. Are there any stages of a trial you can’t appeal to the supreme court? God knows he can appeal both the conviction and the sentencing separately. 

  13. So when is the sentencing date then? And is that date then the final, final, final date or is there another out Trump has left (appeals, delays, etc), as there always seems to be another out for this felon?

  16. Hmm weird. Possibly the SCOTUS is realizing this is as far as they can go with THIS useful federalist idiot. Trying to help him in November overturn one county might not help if Kamala secures it another way and if they really step out of pocket and still Kamala gets in well that’s puts way too much undo focus on them, rather than their decisions.

    Maybe we are seeing the shedding of idiots in the same way the tea party disappeared.

  20. Wait a minute. Why the fuck did Missouri’s AG sought to block sentencing of Trump in a case in another state? The case is not in his state or against his state. The defendant is not a resident of the his state. WTF seriously?

    He has nothing better to do?

I just feel like if an underling commits crimes at the direction of and the benefit for another, pleads guilty, cooperates with the government and gets 3 years, then the head of the crimes who doesn’t cooperate, threatens court workers as well as the judge in the case and his family, sleeps and farts during proceedings, fights tooth and nail to delay and lift gag orders, should probably get more…. Right?

  29. This is important for all those who defend democrats *not* attempting to do something about the Supreme Court before Biden’s term was nearly over. You’ll hear the usual suspects saying things like “what could he do? He’s doing it now because it’s important to have a message for an election.”

    Which is asinine.

    The fact is, whether or not Biden can put the reforms in place, I’m betting we’ll see more of the Supreme Court bowing out of controversial cases like this *because the magnifying glass is on them*.

    Kamala hopefully will continue this fight. The Supreme Court is undemocratic and removed any sense of checks and balance from their branch.

  33. Wait a minute. The attorney general of MISSOURI filed a lawsuit trying to prevent a judge in NEW YORK from sentencing Trump for convictions under NEW YORK law? Maga is insane.
