1. Why won’t we just let other languages die?

2. I mean, the only reason there even is a debate is because Silesians are a large group, there are many languages/dialects still considered dialects despite being much more different from standard Polish than Silesian. Also globalization will soon kill off most languages/dialects if they aren’t part of the political debate, so that’s why Silesian and Kashubian are now thriving, not really because they are unique, but because people care for them specifically
