I liked the sauce so much, unfortunately it wasn't specified further than 'spicy sauce'. Does anyone know what it is, so I can eat it at home as well?

If it’s red: sambal!
If it’s yellow: mustard!
If I were to guess, some sort of sambal. Sambal is an indonesian spicy sauce that’s very common in the Netherlands and is often added to (cheese) sandwiches.
I was going to guess mustard, here’s some more options:

The website of QiZiNi, who according to the wrapper makes these sandwiches, lists [this](https://qizini.com/en/foods/sandwich-old-beemster-cheese/) sandwich, which uses a honey-mustard sauce. It’s possible they use a different sauce in the sandwiches they make for KLM, though.
If it is mustard, it is very different compared to USA for example (it’s yellow and I don’t know what it is but it’s not mustard but they call it mustard :)) it’s pretty Spicy but there are many variations.
Were there alergens listed? It may be a clue.
It kinda looks like spicy pumkin hummus but it seems unlikely.
Maybe some kind of spicy mayo? Sambal with mayo for example. But that be red or pink, not orange.
Had these a month back. Tasted like some kind of sriracha to me.
I had this sandwich a couple days ago. To me it tasted like sriracha mayo.
Maybe you should ask on /r/klm
Weird how they don’t give the actual ingrediënten
How is it legal not to list ingredients for food? What if someone is allergic to something?
Sandwich Spread?
KLM still handing out sandwiches on planes?
Damn…
Had this sandwich last weekend, sauce tasted Tabasco like, had quite a bit of acidity. Probably mixed with something else to make it a thicker sauce, maybe some type of mayonnaise.
I once dm’d the KLM twitter amount to find out how they make the fig spread they had/used to have and they actually responded to me with a ‘recipe’! So I can recommend that as an option too haha
Had it yesterday as well. I think it’s a mix of mayo and sambal.
