“Queen Camilla reportedly keeps Prince William in check with subtle reminders whenever she feels he’s not respecting his father, King Charles, a new book has claimed.”

  1. I wouldn’t respect the affair partner of my dad, but that’s just me.

  2. The NY Post sure does kiss Camilla’s butt. She must be their palace insider as well.

  3. Camilla acting like she’s on any kind of moral high ground would be pretty hilarious to me, but maybe William is more patient?

  4. Camilla is a sly one. No wonder harry doesn’t like her. She’s been playing the long game her whole life.

  5. Well, Camilla is #1 with KC and William knows it. It will be interesting to see how this “new bond”holds when William is King. He won’t be openly hostile but it also will not surprise if she is encouraged to enjoy a quiet retirement in the country either.

  6. Idk, the article is just odd.
“with Camilla, who along with her husband made the Cambridges wait”
And then: “When Charles was kept waiting several minutes for the couple, Camilla insisted they go without them,” Jobson wrote.
“As William and Catherine emerged, all they could see were the blue flashing lights of the motorbikes disappearing in the distance.”
    So who had to wait?

Also, idk, I wouldn’t consider waiting several minutes *that* disrespectful… depends on the circumstances, probably. Feels like fishing for drama with the overly dramatic headline.

Also, Jobson’s book again (and again and again…and again). Looks like there will be weeks of this type of articles.

  7. scuse me what, the future King gets shushed by the royal side piece?

  8. Charles and Carmella are disgustingly royal entitled brats who has played this game for decades.

  9. This is an old story. From one of Jobson’s previous books
As I said, this “new” book doesn’t have any new info, almost everything is copy/paste from his previous ” work” and work of others. And, he added some unlikely truthful gossip. That’s it. Reviews of the book are just as bad.

  10. Too bad she didn’t respect Diana and the queen when she had her affair with the future king

  11. Shouldn’t these people be keeping the right wingers in check right now? Their subjects are acting buck wild and the royals are busy worrying about pecking orders and slights?

  12. I love how people go so hard on Harry for writing a (fairly tame and boring) book about his family, as if the Windsors would *never* dare to shade each other in the gutter press. In reality, they just can’t resist using their puppet of choice to talk shit about each other all the time. The whole family is full of mouthy backstabbers.

  13. One day, Charles won’t be around to defend her. She should be careful to tread lightly; when William becomes king, he can easily strip whatever comforts have been given and promised to her by the king. When Charles is no longer, the gloves come off.

  14. God that is absolutely infuriating. Talk about a stepmom with no boundaries, which makes sense I guess. Though I have sympathy for their situation over the years (and have sympathy for Diana’s as well).

  15. If there’s anyone capable of keeping William “in check” there’s no way it’s Camilla lmao. No way.

  16. I call horse sh t on this one. When Chuck is gone, she’ll be at Bill’s mercy.

I doubt Charles has any problem getting snippy if he feels disrespected.

  17. This anecdote doesn’t make sense. The then Cambridges asked to join the then POW’s convoy out of Windsor. Very reasonable, right? Probably going to the same event. But then in the moment Camilla gets pissy and makes the Cams wait? Then they drive off without the Cams? Huh? This is a stupid example. I don’t buy it or there was a lot more to the story.

Being a stepmother is hard. Being ‘the home-wrecker’ stepmom is very hard. I think William and Camilla probably have as good a relationship as can be expected.

  18. He’s a man in his 30s there’s no way Camilla has any say in his behaviour. It’s amazing how the whole country has forgotten she was a home wrecker and adulterer and now thinks she some kind of cosy old granny.

  19. Is this that Robert Jobson book? He’s a very unserious person imho.

His book about Kate has been criticized for being fawning and unrealistic. He seems to like William a lot less, though, and a lot of the claims he’s made, if true, make William sound awful.

  20. The devil works hard, but Camilla’s PR team works harder.

I’m too young to have lived through/remember Royal Drama too much before Diana’s death and even I’m aware enough to see how much revisionist history her team is attempting to write. Dang, lady.
