We’ve had our share of it this year, but the pride I feel in our lads and ladies over there right now is unparalleled, can’t believe what I’ve seen out of us in this last week.
She has retired ( going by the interview )
I’ve been hugely interested in boxing for 30 odd years. I did loads of boxing in my teens and have maintained a strong following in the sport.
And Kellie is truly an amazing boxer, super high level footwork and distance control, she has great speed and her boxing IQ is pure class. She is absolutely world class, she won a fair bit easier than a split imo.
The impossible dream
🏅🏅
Congratulations, Kellie. Back to Back Olympic Champion
It’s insane how we went 92 years without having a back to back Olympic Gold medalist, and yet this Olympics, it was done twice easily the best Olympics for ireland
Brilliant performance. Only second Irish individual athlete to win two gold medals in their discipline. Pat O’Callaghan being the other one in 1928 and 1932 with the hammer throw.

Ireland’s best Olympics, both in golds and total medals!
Gwan ta fuck, legend
4 gold medals, Ireland, 4. That’s insane
GET IN!
Great fight. That Chinese fighter was very good but thought Harrington did enough to get the decision
Back to back champ, unbelievable
So proud of her. Can see it’s pure emotion for Kellie. Fair play, double Olympic gold, that’s nothing short of amazing
The roar from the crowd when they announced it! Great stuff.
In the blue corner.
Feckin savage
Hell yes!
What a fucking beast, her movement is incredible.
Beautiful.. love it
Woop woop. Brilliant result. Looks like right craic there too.
Well done Kellie. An absolute Irish sporting legend. Well done to the racuous Irish crowd at Roland Garros too. They must have given her a great lift.
Split decision my arse! She was dominant. Always a dodgy judge isn’t there?
The homecoming for this Olympics is going to be epic, so proud to be Irish
Silver is truly lava for Team Ireland
Yet again, I’m not Irish, but I’ve witnessed all 4 gold medal winning performances in person plus two bronze.
Couldn’t be happier for my favorite country in the world.
On a related note, if anyone wants to call Michael Higgins for me, I’ll happily accept an Irish passport (kidding unless he’s reading this).
