  1. It looks like OP posted an AMP link. These should load faster, but AMP is controversial because of [concerns over privacy and the Open Web](https://www.reddit.com/r/AmputatorBot/comments/ehrq3z/why_did_i_build_amputatorbot).

Maybe check out **the canonical page** instead: **[https://www.cnbc.com/2024/08/06/uk-riots-is-the-country-safe-to-travel-to-as-protests-spread.html](https://www.cnbc.com/2024/08/06/uk-riots-is-the-country-safe-to-travel-to-as-protests-spread.html)**

  2. Yeah, that’s not surprising. A friend traveled to London the other day and while I’m sure London is a litte safer, I told him to be careful over there as he’s black. They need to get that situation back in order. I understand how people aren’t fond of immigration, but what ever happened to talking about issues?

  3. I think anyone living in the U.K. will be happy to admit what a shithole it’s become. Sad thing is there is no light at the end of the tunnel, no hope.

All we have now is rich and poor with a shrinking bit in between. Why the fuck migrants choose this as their destination of choice is beyond me.

  4. Is it really that bad? A friend of mine is moving to Cambridge next week.

  5. With few exceptions, the citizens of said countries are objectively safer in the UK than in their homeland.

  6. >India is the latest country to issue an advisory for its nationals traveling to the U.K. with the High Commission of India in London warning visitors “to stay vigilant and exercise caution during their travels” in light of recent “disturbances” in parts of the country.

    >The United Arab Emirates, Nigeria, Malaysia, Indonesia and Australia have also all warned their citizens visiting or living in the U.K.

    Save you a click.

  7. What are these riots about? I’m sorry I lost the train and need an ELI5

  8. Believe what you want. We doing quite well here in the UK.
    Living the dream.
Don’t believe all the bullshit you read.

  9. The right is sure absolutely mad since the right badly lost the elections after 14 years of conservatives in power…..

  10. the nazis there burned a library. the weather is great too.

  11. Only England and Northern Ireland are affected by the riots so far, though.
