This is a massive problem on lough neagh, ireland largest lough and has all the problems mentioned here – failing water treatment systems and an environment impacted by large scalr farming
But the big question I have is how do we clean up waterways impacted by this? The causes are well known and we do lack the political will do solve the problem at the source
But if we can control this then how do we get the algaenout of the system? Will it just naturally flush itself out?
But what about water bodies that don’t have any streams or rivers running out of it?
