How did we borrow $11T from since 2020? Was there an eleven-trillionaire out there, waiting to loan it to us?
Oh, that money was all made up, digital ones and zeros conjured into existence? If that’s the case, why are we doing it in a way that requires us to pay interest on it in perpetuity? (It’s never supposed to be repaid – you can’t suck $35T out of the economy.)
